A person's most useful asset is not a head full of knowledge, but a heart full of love, an ear ready to listen and a hand willing to help others.

Specialization

I am primarily trained in completing assessments. This includes evaluation of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (AD/HD), Learning Disabilities, Memory, Mood, Personality, Addictions, etc. If there is an area you need for an assessment or are wondering about other areas not listed, don't hesitate to get in touch with me.

I am also play therapy trained, and I use those methods for assessment, interventions, and sessions as required,

Experience

I have a few years of experience as a teacher before becoming a psychologist. I trained in Grade 4 classrooms but substituted from Kindergarten to Grade 12. I was then employed as a High School Science teacher at a local First Nation school. After this, I taught and tutored adults in upgrading for trade entrance exams.

This experience has helped me see what interventions work and don't, as well as how to interact with various people with different needs.

When i was As a provisional psychologist, I have trained in Edmonton school districts and gained extensive exposure to various special needs populations. Working with many disciplines in these settings has given me an appreciation for and awareness of other professionals and the support available.

As a psychologist in a private clinic and with contract work on First Nations, I have been given a chance to support many individuals in a holistic and sometimes culturally relevant manner. I am aware of how assessments have not always best served Indigenous people and have worked to minimize unnecessary or misdiagnosis.

I take pride in what I do, am passionate about learning more, and hope I can best serve you and your family.
